Wheelin' boys on their 4 wheeler

I could not resist taking these pictures. My boys just love to ride the 4 wheeler. Yes, including Ashton. He cries SOOOOO hard when we take him off. Grandpa Dennis is really good to let them drive his and even went so far as to buy a little one for all of the grandkids to enjoy... I don't know how excited Grandma Su was for that, but the kids have LOVED and I mean LOVED it. All of us knew Hayden has NO FEAR whatsoever and this was again reiterated to us all when he jumped on that bad boy and erupted into the biggest, if giggles can be big, biggest evil little laugh. It totally cracked me up. Bracken is really good at making sure that HAyden shifts just right and doesn't burn it up. Oh, and did we mention them already wrecking into the orange dump truck at the farm....luckily no injury... but they came crying and running knowing they were in "big trouble? as B put it. It took him a few days to be able to look at Grandpa Dennis even though he didn't even get yelled at one bit. (He doesn't understand that Grandpa doesn't care about the machine as much as he cares about them yet!!) But we found new blinkers and they are off and running again!! THANKS GRANDMA AND GRANDPA for the fun...

My sister Brooke had this on her blog and I had to do it and of course I was ESME!!! I too can not wait until this movie comes out. It is going to be a girls night out for sure :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASHTON!!!!!!!!!

I CAN'T BELIEVE ASHTON IS ONE!!!!!!!! It is seriously so hard for me to believe. He is such a joy to have him in our family. He makes us laugh every day.

Some of his favorite things right now

1. His Big Brothers.....he loves them and misses them so much when they are gone to school. It has been a hard adjustment for him. He just can't wait for them to get home. He is also so happy when he hears them come through that door.
2. He has also learned to wave goodbye. He will wave and say "Bye." It's darling.
3. He also loves to talk on my cell phone. He talks to no one, but picks it up, puts it to his ear and says "HI." It's hilarious.
4. He is starting to stand up in the middle of a room. He doesn't dare take a step yet, but he is getting pretty brave.
   
5. HE SLEEPS IN HIS OWN BED!!!!! Thanks to Brooke and Dan. (Can I hire you to teach my other 2 how to do that?) Oh well, I honestly don't think it can last much longer can it?
   
6. He HATES his car seat. This is just a new one....can't quite figure it out either. We have to have a movie playing the hope he falls asleep. STRANGE!!!!
7. He also hates to sit in his high chair. I am wondering if he just thinks he is too big to do it??
8. He loves to drive cars and trucks around. He makes the noise and everything. Cracks me up. ALL BOY!!!!
9. He also LOVES to crawl into the family room and just "flop" himself all spread out and just lay there until we tickle him. He loves to do this with his brothers. They love it too.
10. He LOVES his daddy. Jason is absolutely darling with him. (As he is and was with the other 2...) But Ashton loves when he comes home too.
    
11. He hates shoes, like his mother..... I don't blame him.
12. He loves to give kisses too. They are big, open mouthed and slobbery, but trust me, as a mother you DON'T turn them down!! :)
    

We had a little birthday party for him and Hayden and I made this little cake for him.




In case you can't tell, it's a spider. :)




We had a blast making it, but I we didn't dare eat it because of all of the frosting on it!! Anyway, Ashton ate his and LOVED it. (Have to thank Angie for her mixing cup we used for his head. She is really a resourceful gal!! LOVE YA ANG!!)


And of course the cleanup. The poor thing.... the black frosting stained his little tummy. It's funny...just today is it gone...3 days later.




This is his little lion he got to ride on. He likes it too, but can't find "forward." He climbs on it and pushes himself "backwards." Hopefully he'll figure it out sooner or later.

Ashton's Gardening Skills

This is Ashton's FAVORITE spot to be. OUTSIDE. I am kind of dredding the winter with him becuase he LOVES to be outside. After we take the big boys to school, he knows that the next step is into the stroller and off for a walk. I don't know what we will do when it's raining. :( When he heads outside, this is the first place he heads to. My front flowerbed. I don't know why he loves it so much, but he just sits there and plays with these flowers and eats the dirt. I love that "toothie" smile of his.

Update on Bracken's Injury

Here is a picture of B's injury. We are so thrilled that after 14 days of stitches, they are finally out and his ouchie is looking great. Where he cut him was a VERY hard spot to get healed and it took a few extra days, but he is on the mend and got to play in his last flag football game. Good to have you back on the move B!!!
