AMAZING!!!!

We had the AMAZING opportunity to listen to Sister Julie Beck the other night in Fillmore. She is the General Relief Society President for the LDS church. She came and did a fireside and let me just tell you what a testimony... builder I guess... but just another confirmation of the power of the church and its doctrine. You could just feel her testimony as it RADIATED off of her. She once again confirmed how important it is to be a daughter of God and to be a mother. She talked over and over about being "INTENTIONAL".... Be intentional in our efforts and actions. She also talked about "spending SOMETIME in the scriptures SOMETIME during the day." She said that if we set a set time for doing so it will never work. :) Something I never thought of before. I always felt SO badly about not having the energy to read when the day was done.... I thought that was such wonderful council. The other thing was Family Home Evening. We need to be taking the time on MONDAY nights to have FHE. She said they don't have be GRAND every Monday, and they WON'T be grand every Monday.... but it needs to happen every week. Did I emphasize MONDAY enough. She was also again reiterating the fact that the First Presidency has set aside MONDAY nights for family. She encouraged us to keep at it... again be INTENTIONAL. She said so many other things that made me feel like.... "Okay, I can do this... I can keep going... I can make the changes in my home that need to happen.... I can be INTENTIONAL!!!!" My heart was touched. If any of you have the opportunity to hear her speak at ANY time in your life.... DO NOT MISS IT NO MATTER WHAT!!!!! :)
